So sorry for your loss. Mr. Eckert was an excellent chemistry teacher at Wilson High. I graduated in 1963 and still remember his kindness.

Nancy and Family,

I was deeply saddened to read the obituaries this morning. From my playing days, teaching days, coaching days, and television days, Coach was always a valuable source on direction and inspiration. I will never forget our championship season in 1963 and the wonderful guidance offered by Coach Eckert.

He was an inspiration in the classroom and was a valuable colleague when I joined him on the staff at Wilson.

My condolences to you all, but rejoice in the fact that he made the world a better place by his presence.

Dear Nancy and Family:

My deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved husband and father! I learned much from Dick when we coached a Minor A Little League Team. He taught me to have patience while teaching baseball to our team members. I always admired Dick as a person and friend!

May God be with you as you mourn while celebrating his life!

Sir,
I did not know you personally, however I would very much like to "Thank You" for your dedicated and honorable Military Service to OUR country.
At a later date we will meet in that "SPECIAL PLACE" which GOD reserves for ALL of those who have stepped forward to serve their country in a Military Uniform.
May ALL of GOD'S blessings be with your dear family!

Very sad to hear of Mr. Eckert's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I played basketball on two of Coach Eckert's teams in the early 60's. He left me many great memories that will last the rest of my life. You will be missed coach, rest in peace and Class of "63" will never forget you.
